(NASDAQ:URGN), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing treatments to address unmet needs in the field of urology, with a focus on uro-oncology, today announced that it will receive a milestone payment of $7.5 million under its exclusive worldwide licensing agreement with Allergan Pharmaceuticals International Limited, or Allergan, a wholly owned subsidiary of Allergan plc, resulting from Allergan’s submission of an Investigational New Drug (IND) application for RTGel in combination with BOTOX for the treatment of overactive bladder to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

In October 2016, UroGen granted an exclusive worldwide license to Allergan to develop and commercialize pharmaceutical products that contain UroGen’s proprietary RTGel and clostridial toxins, including BOTOX®. UroGen is eligible to receive additional payments related to the achievement of certain development, regulatory, and commercial milestones, in addition to royalties on potential net sales.
